I know that’s not a very romantic way of thinking about this anniversary, but I’m a realist. So is Ross. We don’t do the whole, “OMG I’d die without you” stuff. It’s not our bag. But it doesn’t diminish our love in any way.
I guess the lesson to take from this is, “You’ll be ok. We’ll all be ok. No matter what.”
A friend in college was once told by a guy she was dating, “I don’t ‘need’ you, I ‘want’ you.”
She cried for days.
[edit: I feel like I should add that this guy basically lived in a tent and all of his ‘possessions’ probably fit in a backpack, so he had a very clear definition of ‘need’, so it doesn’t sound as cold as it might otherwise.]
sigh
Erin/Ross: glad you two found each other.
Happy anniversary, whenever it is ;-)](http://30.media.tumblr.com/W6UAIcTMTnrud6fjePwsqbGXo1_500.png)
