Since I give Tumblr.com grief when I see things they screw up, I thought I’d mention a nice feature they added. If you have a Twitter account linked to your Tumblr account, you can easily find the Tumblr “shorturl” by going back to “edit” a post after you have published it (as shown above). I’m not sure why Tumblr is limiting this to people who have Twitter accounts linked to Tumblr… I don’t want to auto-post my Tumblr stuff to Twitter but I might occasionally want to post a short url. I wish they’d just make this available to everyone even if they didn’t have a Twitter account linked, but this is a nice step. (You can setup a Twitter account but tell it to default to NOT post to Twitter, which is what I did.)
