So It Begins…

The Boy asked me for help with his homework, which included spelling and phonics.

Me: “Ok, well you need to put either a line or a little ‘u’ over the vowels in these words”

Him: “It’s called a ‘breathe’, Dad…”

(Pretty fancy word for a kid whose spelling homework is a list of 3-point Scrabble words…)

Next thing you know he’ll be calling me a diphthong…
