Age is nearly irrelevant
21?! Didn’t you say you were getting married next year?! Where’d you meet?! Tell us all about it.
YES. I am 21 years old. And YES. We are getting married. In 6 months. GASP I AM SO YOUNG.
The Wife and I were both 22 when we got married. We’d known each other 4 years, during which we dated 2.5 years and been engaged for 13 months.
That was 14.5 years ago.
I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
Her too.
Age isn’t completely irrelevant, but it’s pretty damn close, especially if you’re willing to work to make it work, and have figured out how to communicate what you need and what you want, and how to have the occasional fight without thinking it’s the end of the world and without losing sight of the fact that this is someone you love.
Sounds like you’ve got your head on straight. That’s a good start. I bet you’ll do fine, no worse than if you’d met a decade later.
P.S. I was the one who asked the question :-)
