Fun Size Bytes

Each week for the past year or so I have checked with the AT&T DSL page to see if DSL is available in our area.

Actually it’s been longer than that because I posted about this in March 2011 and it had been going on for awhile before then.

Each week it has said the same thing:

“DSL is not yet available”

Today I loaded the page and the message changed!!!

I REPEAT, THE MESSAGE CHANGED!

“GOOD NEWS!” it begins.

Then I wet myself.

(Not really.)

((Probably.))

Then I finished reading the message:

Of course, “U-verse® High Speed Internet” isn’t available either.

But now every damn time I check that page I’m going to get excited until I learn that “Good news” is just AT&T LiarSpeak for “We hate saying ‘no’ so we’re saying ‘Look over there!’”

Which reminds me, this is what AT&T’s logo does when you aren’t looking:
