The Wife: “Hey, look at this…”

(hands me her iPhone, which is showing the picture seen above.)

Me: “Awww, adorable… who’s is that?” (we have a lot of friends on Facebook who have beagles)

(I scroll down and see ‘I Am Available For Adoption’…)

Me: (handing her iPhone back to her) “Why you little—”

Her: “What?”

Me: “That was a total setup. You totally set me up.”

Her: (all innocent like) “What? No I—”

Me: (gives her the “who the fuck do you think you’re kidding?” look)

Her: “—Ok, maybe a little. But look at her.”

Me: “No… I refuse…”

Her: “Look at the cuteness!”

Me: “I must have that dog…”

Her: “That was my reaction too!” (she said, confirming the Total Setup-ness of the Obvious Total Setup)

Me: “DAMMIT! I was just talking to Lindsay about this last night…”

And then MomOfWifeOfTJ called.

(Fast-forward about 30 minutes. The Wife had just gotten off the phone with her mother and come back into the room.)

Her: “Ok, so that beagle is available at gotbe—”

Me: “Yeah I already filled out the adoption application.”

Her: bursts out in laughter

Me: “What do you think I was doing while you were on the phone with your mother?”

Anyway:

1. We may possibly be adopting another beagle. (You can see her page by clicking on the image or the ‘source’ link)
   

2. Her name with be Kaylee.
