  • What did *you* accomplish in your morning meeting?

I created a macro so when I am looking at an article on ATLASerials (ATLAS) I can press one key and it will:

    1. Click the “E-mail” button
    2. Pause one second to let the page* load
    3. Hit the ‘tab key twice to get to the “Enter My Email Address” field
    4. Type my Send To Dropbox email address
    5. Copy the name of the “Title” of the page
    6. Paste the title of the page into the “Subject” field
    7. Hit ‘tab’ twice
    8. Hit ‘space’ to check a box to
    9. Click the ‘Send’ button
    10. Pause for one second to let the message send
    11. Click the ‘Continue’ button (to make the ‘Message Sent!’ message go away
    12. Click the ‘back’ button to take me to the previous page (list of articles)

So instead of taking 12 steps, including having to manually copy and paste the title of the article into the Subject field and manually enter my email address, I press cmd+Y (to say “Yes” I want this article, or at least that’s how I remember it.)

    Boom. Thanks Keyboard Maestro.

I’m guessing this was more productive than anything accomplished by 99% of the people in 99% of the meetings that took place on this day across the world.
