- (Overheard) The Boy, to His Mother: THAT'S NOT FAIR!
- Me: What's wrong?
- The Boy: [His friend] won't get off [The Boy's] swing-set!
- Me: Does the swing-set live at our house?
- The Boy: Yes...
- Me: Does he have a swing-set at his house?
- The Boy: No...
- Me, having clearly drawn Point A and Point B: So, you can play on your swing-set anytime, OK?
- The Boy: OK
- (Overheard) The Boy, to His Friend: My Dad said I can swing WHENEVER I WANT (with the tone of: SO GET OFF, BECAUSE I WANT TO SWING RIGHT NOW!)
