Remind Me of This When I’m Dead
I once bought one of those watches that can read your pulse.
The idea is to prevent you from overdoing it when you exercise.
Instructions said to get a baseline reading before you get out of bed, so I left the watch on my nightstand.
The next morning, the alarm went off and as I flailed to hit the snooze button, I knocked the watch off the nightstand and it slid under the bed.
It stayed there for days.
Actually, I’m not sure how long it stayed there, because when about a week had passed and I finally vaguely remembered it, I went to look for it under the bed and it was not there.
I never found it.
Perhaps it’s out jogging somewhere.
